Using A Tailored Workout For The Racers Edge
Whatever your line of work, when were talking about the Racers Workout edge, there is no getting around the fact, if you aren’t winning at what you are doing it is time to make changes. Kasey Kahne of NASCAR Sprint Cup is my client and we are looking for consistency over a full season sure. Still winning races is the objective. Beyond the obvious rewards like accumulating standings points or winning awards, winning is vital for two bigger reasons.
First, in any activity, winning signals that the participant can thrive in a competitive situation. People that aren’t competitive generally are less successful than those that are. I watched a TV program one evening about Walmart and the amazing reach and growth of their stores around the globe. There have always been widespread criticism of the way Walmart goes out there to beat the competition on prices. The Walmart CEO touched on competition and how it is the essense of most all human endeavors. He more or less said that his company would look at altering it’s approach to a less aggressive style if the companies they compete against would do that same. Very seldom in any free marketplace in the history of the world, has this happened. Overall this is a good thing for most of us. It means better service, lower prices and other benefits.
Second, winning breeds that innate confidence that is not only vital for future consistent high achievement, but also gives a person a tremendous peace of mind that really makes life more pleasurable all around. That confidence that just is, which you see in the most successful people allows them the freedom to have greater success on into the future, is the direct result of past success allowing them to be present and decisive in the moment.
Sometimes competition can be with yourself. An example would be assessing your present performance against your top past performance. Being top 5 is fine, but we don’t kid ourselves in professional racing: winning is special and creates with it some unique feelings you can duplicate being second best. The chief aim of my work with Kasey Kahne and his Kasey Kahne Racing Team is to win outright and we prepare using the elements of my Racer’s Trainer Workout and Helmet Talks to that end. Nothin means nothing without winning.
