For everyone I ever worked with training, from NASCAR’s Kasey Kahne to my regular rotation clients at Gold’s Gym in Forney, Texas, I try to always give them my own special KISS. Keep It Simple Sally is probably the overarching theme of all the work I do as a personal fitness consultant. When I put together the Racers Workout fitness training program for car and motorcycle racers it had to stay grounded in my belief in simplicity without the unnecessary fluff.

In previous articles I talked about my Helmet Talks which are nothing more than a series of the favorite short lessons of winner’s mindsets, that I would share with Kasey and my other racing clients, to simplify their thought processes right before a big race. Nothing fancy, just a quick thought to blow out the fog and put my racers in a clear state. Simple ideas like: Highly successful people are merely people who have decided to follow their dreams and never give up.

I take the exact same approach on the physical side of the training for my clients and in the Racers Workout. Instead of getting the mind lost in all the inconsistent messages and chatter that is so prevailing in the information age, I went the opposite direcition. How do immediately get my racers and the users of my products back refocused on the things that really matter for results?

The 5 Golden Keys to Health are simple rules to remember and they are the same ones I remind Kasey Kahne of in our sessions. They apply universally and have proven very effective in making the difference for people who need that additional edge on the racetrack. Committment, Flexibility, Building muscle, heart rate, nutrition. Everything we do is geared towards swift, lasting results in all those areas. If you hear something that doesn’t promote what I am talking about in my intro video on the 5 golden keys, ignore it and go back to the basics. Keeping it simple is the Racers Workout credo.
